Energy Funding
In addition to domestic (U.S.) projects, international energy funding projects are also of particular interest to many of our financing sources. We will have an interest in energy funding projects for the following U.S. and international situations:
Traditional energy projects involving coal, oil and natural gas (including production and refining facilities), nuclear power, and hydroelectric power plants, as well as smaller stand-alone energy projects as small as 1-5 Megawatts in size. Generally speaking, for power plant projects, a financially capable purchaser of output with proven credentials will be required. For new development projects, we prefer situations where in which minimum levels of approvals and licensing have been obtained.
Renewable energy projects, including power plants with solar, wind, biomass, waste-to-energy, and other such renewable platforms, are also of significant interest. For biodiesel and ethanol funding requests, the borrower should be able to demonstrate reliable on-going sources for feedstocks (corn, cellulose, animal fat and waste, sugar cane, etc.).
Support products and services can also qualify for financing if they can demonstrate an economically viable use of funds.
Unproven technologies in which minimal or no validation is available for commercial viability will not be of interest. On the other hand, cutting-edge technology that is commercially proven will be of significant interest, including various forms and platforms for renewable energy.
In most cases, clients will need to demonstrate current expertise and prior experience relevant to the energy funding request.
